Our new Atmospheric Chemistry Building, opened summer 2005, housing offices and laboratories for Prof. Kreidenweis' research group.

We have now completed a 30' mobile air quality laboratory (see photo above) designed for characterization of the chemical, physical, and optical properties of atmospheric aerosols.  The lab will house instrumentation for measurements of trace gases (CO, NO_x, NH₃, O₃ and SO₂), aerosol composition (PILS, denuder-filter pack samplers, MOUDI, Sunset OC/EC analyzer), aerosol size distributions (DMPS, OPC, APS), particle light scattering and absorption (nephelometers, aethalometer), and particle hygroscopicity. The mobile lab was supported by UC Davis.
